With the rapid development of highway transportation, the curved steel box girder bridge is more and more widely applied in modern transportation. Because when we decorate the pier of a bridge, we should consider the bridge and the ground transportation systems that crossed the highway. In addition, we also should leave position of existing and planning of public facilities. So we usually choose the t curved steel box girder bridge. As the steel box girder is a typical space thin-walled structure, bend and torsion coupling makes it more complex even under the action of dead load stress distribution. Therefore it must be carried out mechanical performance simulation analysis in accordance with the design specifications.This thesis uses the finite element analysis software ANSYS Workbench and ANSYS/LS-DYNA to make the numerical simulation on the 40 m C ramp simply supported steel box girder bridge in Kunming south attachment freeway. According to the design drawing of the whole bridge the finite element model is established. In accordance with the highway bridge design general specification, the load is determined. The whole bridge stress distribution and the most unfavorable position are obtained by static analysis under different working conditions.Through the natural vibration analysis, the inherent frequency and vibration model are obtained. These are used to verify whether they meet the specification and provided the basis on the dynamic analysis and overcoming the harmful vibration resonance.At last, using the finite software ANSYS establish element modeling which use plate and shell element. Then I apply the nonlinear finite element software to make a explosion response to the bridge which are using the ALE multiple material fluid-structure coupling algorithm simulation. I can gain the response of different quantity of explosives on the bridge in the same position and same quantity of explosive on different heights. By comparing the results, I study the extent of damage and failure mechanism of steel box girder bridge.In this paper, through the analysis and calculation of the 40 m C ramp simply supported steel box girder bridge, we can get the conclusion that for the same type bridge design has a certain theoretical significance and engineering application value.
