In this paper, based on the theory of curved girder, a spatial curved girder element with two-node and fourteen-degree of freedom for curved girder bridge which has been used widely in modern freeways and crossroads is established by the finite element method, the element stiffness matrix of spatial curved girder element is calculated, and a practical calculational method is obtained to calculate deformation and internal force of curved girder use of the method of matrix and displacement. CBSA(Curved Box girder Structural Analysis) is programmed by this method in the environment of Visual Basic 6.0 and it has friendly interface and visual forms for data input. It can analyze the loads including deadweight, prestressing force and temperature in curved box girder, output influence lines and load dynamically to calculate deformation and internal force. The characteristics of CBS A are concise, convenience and quick. Moreover, it adopts modularization structure and clear flow. Some numerical results form this paper compared with these from SAP93 to not only reflect correctly characteristic of curved girder but also be proved its reliability. The method of spatial curved girder element in this paper offer reference for analysis of curved girder bridge, so it is significative to actual structural and lay a foundation for further development of curved girder structural analysis program.
