Faced with the shortage of energy, environemntal pollution and other issues, countries are actively engaged in the development of renewable energy and the wind energy industry is particularly prominent. Now the technology of variable speed constant frequency(VSCF) is mainly achieved through the converter, but converter failure is one of the major failures of wind turbines, and power quality problems caused by converter seriously restrict the large-scale development of wind power technology. To solve these problems, the wind power system that use synchronous generator without converter is proposed. The system can gain a constant frequency by adding a speeder device in front of the generator. While the existing speeder device has complex structure, higher manufacturing costs and other issues. This thesis presents a new brushless speeder which is based on the dual-rotor brushless motor.Firstly, this thesis describes the conceptual design of the speeder, and verifies the feasibility speeder principle on both theory and experiment.Secondly, the mathematical model of the speeder has been built, and a control strategy for speed regulation is proposed based on rotor field oriented control method whose simulation model has been built with Matlab/Simulink. The results show that the goal of constant speed can be realized by control the inverter speeder along with the rotor speed changing. In addition, this thesis describes the relationship between power and speed as well as the capacity of inverter. Finally, this thesis describes the structure of synchronous wind power generation system, analyzes the energy flow and efficiency of the synchronous wind turbine generation system with the speeder, and points out its advantages.
