In today’s age, people take the city construction as an important issue to study.Urban landscape, which regarded as an essential part of city construction, reflects level of economic development of a city to some extent and even the degree of civilization of a city and the overall imade of the city. Yan’an, the red revolutionary sites, is located in the arid and semi-arid regions scarce rainfall all year round. Therefore, in such a prerequisite, create their own characteristic landscape of Yan’an not only optimize the urban environment and promote the process of urban development, but also satisfies the urgent need of citizen.This thesis, which staring from the relevant concept of city landscape, is really based on the regional theory, landscape ecology, sustainable development theory and humanistic theory. It is summarized in this thesis on various green landscape in Yan’an City field research from gardening plants, roads and pavements, gardening structures,gardening facilities as well as other aspects of folk culture by using literature review,field research and other methods. Moreover, some of the problems in Yan’an City current landscape are also objectively analyzed.In summary, according to the findings of this paper, there comes up with effective measures for improvement through combing with the development of Yan’an City Forestry Problems. It mainly includes the geographical landscape, cultural landscape and pleasant landscape in three areas. And with the current trend of thoughts in landscape design, we try to find a suitable design of Yan’an’s own development path and to stimulate urban builders and decision-makers on urban landscape building to think about the higher level and ultimately to create their own characteristics of Yan’an City landscape.
