The development of the city needs to reflect history, needs to be historical inheritance andcontinuity. In recent years, with the vigorous development of tourism industry,“The ancientcity upsurge” becomes a trend, however, we had neglecting the plant landscape to build in theconstruction of the ancient city, the plant is essential elements of gardening, is the importantmaterials to create landscape. Relative to other environment factor for people, the plant is theonly ancient city environment having vitality basis of landscape elements, which makes uprich outline with various posture, and consists of beautiful landscape with different colours,which make a boring artificial buildings full of vitality and dynamism. So researching inbuilding Plant Landscape characteristic on Ancient city helps to improve the landscapefeatures of the ancient city, which can reflect city features and region culture preferably, andinherited the old culture preferably.This article is divided into six parts to analyse the plant landscape characteristic of theTaierzhuang ancient city. In the first part, which introduced research background, purpose andsignificance of research, research status quo and existing problems, technology route ofresearch about the ancient city plant landscape characteristic construction. Besides part oneclarifies the related definition about this dissertation, so that the reader has a clearunderstanding about this paper. In the second part, introduce the research content and methods.This chapter explains research content, where the survey was conducted, research method andanalytical method, which solves the problem of the data resources and data processing. In thethird part, this chapter analyzes the plant landscape constructing. This chapter states with theprinciple of plant landscape construction and comparative analysis between ancient withmodern garden plant landscape construction, and discusses the theory and logos in plantlandscape construction. In the fourth part, explains the component elements of the ancient cityplant landscape characteristic construction. This chapter confirms plant natural character,Plant culture connotation, plant design forms, seasonal variation, and space enclosureelements, through the review of the literature and expert questionnaire, and account for theirimportance and weights.Then the Taierzhuang ancient city for example, expounds in greatdetail landscape characteristic construction from building and the surrounding, both sides ofthe road, water, entrance plant landscapecharacteristic construction.
