Abstract/Summary:
The casting asphalt concrete has good adhesion and good conformability with the deck of the steel bridge. Beside its durability, easy of construction, low maintenance costs, and little traffic disturbance, has made the casting asphalt concrete become the major form as steel deck pavement. The casting asphalt concrete generally shows good performance in the Europe, Japan and other countries, while it performs mixed bag with the main damage of rutting and cracking. In addition to our relatively harsh climatic conditions and overloading, the inadequate understanding is also the main reason to the damage of casting asphalt concrete. Bridge deck pavement materials need to have the workability and high temperature rutting resistance, fatigue performance, construction period of the aging characteristics, enough construction window of time, the low temperature crack resistance and other properties of certain areas of need, this article is aimed at casting type asphalt concrete, based on the balance of performance of Gussasphalt Concrete mix proportion optimization asphalt pavement performance and construction of the window period to determine the and so on.This study selected binder 10# asphalt, SBS modified asphalt, 30#+25%TLA, 30#+60%TLA and 70#+70%TLA composite asphalt. Because the casting asphalt concrete mix at high temperature(220 ℃ ~ 240 ℃), far higher than the hot mix asphalt mixing temperature(typically 160-180), we define such mixing temperature as the super high temperatures. The aging process of the binder in the condition of relatively fast, affecting the performance of concrete, so the increase of heating test, carried out simultaneously in both nitrogen and air under the two conditions, the loss of quality index of Gussasphalt binder and aging degree of mixing in the Thermogravimetric Analysis of asphalt mixture; thermal aging test, the performance in high temperature after aging changes.Gradation of casting asphalt concrete optimization design, through the comprehensive balance of performance of Gussasphalt Concrete, obtains the gradation optimization principle; using 70#: TLA=30:70 composite asphalt as casting type concrete material of concrete, the workability and high temperature, low temperature and fatigue property of equilibrium analysis, to determine the best ratio of coarse and fine aggregate 45:55, ME(asphalt mastic) soluble asphalt content of 14.4%. Mixing the five kinds of asphalt binder in a small cooker, and measuring the fluidity after 30 min. Evaluate its workability, high temperature performance, low temperature performance and fatigue performance after 1h、2h、3h. Based on the balance of performance, put forward the corresponding each kind of cementing material construction window period: 70#+70%TLA 30#+60%TLA, the best mixing time should be more than 1h and less than 2h; 10#, 30#+25%TLA should be more than 1h and less than 3h; SBS modified asphalt due to differences in their performance after aging, performance and other performance of the asphalt mixture MA consistent, it is recommended to use in the process of its focus on anti-aging measures..
