With the continuous progress of economy and technology, educational informatization also acquired rapid development. The influence of MOOC(massive open online courses) has caused a sensation in educational circles. As the specialized basic course of mechanical major and the majors similar to mechanics, the course Principle of Mechanics has occupied important position in professional education. Currently, there is no such course in domestic and overseas mainstream MOOC platforms. The eighteenth national congress of CPC pointed to open “education satisfactory to people”. To implement it into teaching, it is imperative to improve the construction quality of Principle of Mechanics, fill up its blank in MOOC platforms, explore optimum teaching method combining with its characteristics and MOOC, and strive to improve its teaching quality. Apparently, MOOC-oriented design and development on the dynamic teaching system of Principle of Mechanics has important significance in boosting educational teaching reform.Starting from the demands on such teaching system and adopting methods including survey data, expert interview and observation, this paper conducted in-depth research on the following contents: course contents and teaching method of Principle of Mechanics, course characteristics and teaching mode of MOOC, teaching interactive mode, and education psychology-based optimum teaching method. It extracted and summarized the problems existing in practical teaching for a long-term, and put forward design orientation on such teaching system combining with the integration situation between MOOC and information technology & teaching.Guided by design orientation, it compiled the knowledge point topological graph of Principle of Mechanics, utilized geometer sketchpad to construct independent copyright dynamic controllable mechanics teaching demonstration model needed for teaching demonstration, thereby exhibiting abstract knowledge point to learners in more intuitive and concrete form, so as to be conducive to teachers’ explanations and students’ understanding in limited time and improve teaching quality and efficiency. On such basis, it put forward one teaching method suitable for the course characteristics of Principle of Mechanics. Meanwhile, targeting at teaching characteristics of MOOC platform, it combined such teaching method with the constructed teaching platform to develop one new teaching system suitable for Principle of Mechanics.This teaching system can be MOOC-oriented, inherit its merits such as massive excellent courses, and break through the restriction of time-space on teaching, thereby achieving liberalization in learning. In addition, students’ learning mode can be transformed to “independent learning” from traditional “cramming method” education, which is easier to be accepted by learners. Meanwhile, this teaching system pushes static education to dynamic education, facilitates teachers’ explanations and teaching resources to be exquisite and guided. Moreover, it let teaching system become the study prompts and improvement of learners, while not textbook replication, thereby further improving teaching efficiency and quality, and boosting education to move further towards the direction satisfactory to people.
