Study On The Contractor’s Cost Managementbased On BIM

Construction industry’s situation of low production value profit margins and poor competitiveness inextricably linked with contractor’s extensive cost management and poor management thinking, while BIM is considered one of the best choices to solve the dilemma of the contractor cost management. BIM’s appliance during the construction process has just started in China, and the lack of corresponding team system and workflow become obstructive factors in the promotion of BIM.On the basis of traditional cost management and organizational reengineering theory,this articletakes constructor’s BIM applications during the process of construction as research object, build contractor cost management team organizationand design BIM cost management workflow,whichprovides a reference for contractor’s BIM working implementation and information management, etc.Firstly, through analyzing the cost of management theory and the concept of BIM cost management, this article finds that BIM cost management’sapplicationdifficulties reflected in the reorganization, the lack of BIM guidelines and planning, strategies unknown for BIM workflow and application implementation. Thus, this article choice organization, process, and technology implementationthese three factors as the entry point of BIM application difficulties’ analysis and solution.As for the construction of BIM cost management organization, this article determines different levels of contractor cost management objectives and responsibilitiesfirstly, according to the organizational structure of the design process. Then contractor’s BIM organization structure is proposed, in order to realize the establishment of work breakdown table and task division table in BIM cost management. BIM cost management and organizational framework for collaboration between internal and external communication is designed according to the division of work and relationships, and a framework and points in the formation of BIM cost management organizational system is put forward, which provide reference for contractor to establish BIM cost management team and division of work.Through statistical division of tasks and the point of BIM application, this article start from BIM model creation and BIM cost management application module to study the basis for constructor to achieve BIM cost management application’s technology.Determinethe input and output way of BIM information’sbased on workflow, and then design and implement BIM application workflow applications.According to the process design theory and BIM cost management task division table, this article design BIM cost management and second stage BIM application flow concept.Based on the research of contractor’scost management team building, BIM application infrastructure and workflow, research contractor’ main works’ BIM application process and corresponding BIM specific technical implementation measures, in the bidding phase, construction preparation phase, construction phase and completion phase, according to the traditional cost management workflow’combined points with BIM applications, which realize participants, workflow and technical implementation of BIM process-based application delivery system.Finally, conduct contractor’s BIM cost management application and implementation for a middle school based on BIM applications implementation processes steps,to verify feasibility BIM cost management and strengths and weaknesses in the project application for general contractor, therefore put forward the direction of outlook and reconstruction work in BIM.
