Soilbag is a kind of geotechnical woven bag which is filled with soil, gravel, slag, or construction waste.Because the geotechnical woven bag has a coating effect to it’s internal soil, this can limit the lateral deformation, vertical subsidence of the soil, improve the strength and stability of the soil. Soilbags has been widely used in the foundation reinforcement, roadbed treatment, bank protection project, ecological slope protection engineering and so on. But soil will be divided by geotechnical woven bags, the connection between the soil will be cut off, so the overall performance of the soilbags reinforced soil structure is poor.In this paper, a new reinforced soil structure is put forward. We can use geogrid to wrap a number of soilbags to form a overall reinforced structure.First, geogrid can limit it’s internal soilbags’ lateral displacement and vertical settlement, to further increase the strength of reinforced soil structure; Second, geogrid can connect the soilbags together as a whole structure, to increase the overall performance of the reinforced soil structure.Around the bearing capacity and the engineering application of geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced structure,uniaxial compression test, model test and numerical simulation are conducted, the main research contents are as follows:① The uniaxial compression test of the geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced structure.Several groups of contrast test is been set, respectively a soilbag of uniaxial compression test, soilbags pile of masonry under uniaxial compression test, geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced structure of uniaxial compression test.Study the reinforced soil structure bearing capacity, stress and vertical stress- strain curve and the lateral deformation and stress distribution of geogrids.Research has shown that geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced structure have a higher bearing capacity and reduce the deformation.②Geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced soil retaining wall model test.By setting the the model test of soilbags reinforced retaining wall, geogrids wrapped soilbags reinforced retaining wall, to study the geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced retaining wall top loads of wall settlement, lateral deformation of wall, wall of lateral earth pressure and fill in the vertical earth pressure law, etc.And study the ggeogrid wrap soilbags reinforced retaining wall under the top load failure pattern and failure mechanism.The experimental results show that geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced structurehave a good effect.③Using numerical modeling to verify the geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced structure’s performance.FLAC3 D finite difference software, to simulate the performance of the reinforced soil retaining wall, and compared with model test results.Compared with the model test, result show that the geogrid wrap soilbags reinforced soil retaining wall have a goog performance.This paper studies a new type of composite reinforced soil structure, the mechanical properties of reinforced soil is return package earthwork bag.By using the method of experiment and numerical simulation study return package earthwork bag compressive strength and deformation characteristics of reinforced soil structure, explore the return package earthwork bag used in retaining wall engineering on the engineering properties of reinforced soil structure.Push back pack geotechnical research and engineering application of bag reinforced soil.
