Abstract/Summary:
Using the electromagnetic pulse protection module in the Radiofrequency cable is one of the most important methods to avoid electromagnetic pulse damage. Electromagnetic protection module can be served in the cable to suppress strong electromagnetic energy, protecting sensitive circuits and devices from electromagnetic energy damage. Most of the electromagnetic pulse protection modules are subject to the principles and device performance and can not be fast enough. The paper presents an approach of electromagnetic protection method based on the principle of time delay which can provide protecting effectively against electromagnetic pulse and reduce the leakage caused by the response time.The development of electromagnetic pulse weapon and electromagnetic protection technology at home and abroad is briefly described. And common methods for EMP protection are introduced.The second part presents a design idea of electromagnetic pulse protection method based on the principle of time delay. The electromagnetic power entered into protection module is divided into two parts. Part of the energy is used to detect the magnitude of the signal and the other is exported after a delay. When the detected signal is Strong, the output is blocked. The EMP protection circuit is simulated by the simulation software to prove the correctness of this approach. Detailed analysis of the each part of the protection module is completed to meet the actual needs of the protection module.EMP protection module is experimentally tested.The third part studies a compact electromagnetic protection module with which NMOS is applied to advances surge protection device. The designed electromagnetic protection module is simulated by the ADS software..This paper uses the HFSS simulation software designing EMP protection module circuit and analyzes insertion loss, power capacity and other characteristics of the EMP protection module.In the last part, experimental testing is made to analyze the response time, insertion loss and isolation of the protecting circuit. It is confirmed that the module has a good protective effect of electromagnetic pulse. A single pole double throw switch protection circuit based on the PIN diode is introduced here.
