Research On The Feature Of Eight Groups Landscape And Its Improvement Scheme In The New Town Of Chifeng City

With the rapid development of modernization in China, the importance and urgency of our urban landscape problems have become increasingly prominent. People are gerting used to modern urban life. However,the fiery situation of tourism shows that some of them look forward to cities with ancient charm. When we pursuit the landscape characteristics of cities. we find some problems, As a typical tourism city, Chifeng has this kind of problems as well. This paper aims to amalyse the problems of urban landscape of New Town district in Chifeng in a systematic way by defining the characteristics of the urban landscape, and than find practical solutions. By using first-baud information from questionnaires, the author finds that:(1)Chifeng is rich in natural landscape and human-made landscape, and both of them are diversified.(2)Most respondents have certain knowledge about the characteristics of Chifeng and the direction of its development. They, In particular,they hold very positive views about the habitat characteristics of Chifeng. At the same time, the survey reveals some deficiencies in the planning process of urban characteristics, such as traffic congestion, too few public venues, and poor water environment protection. It also reflects the problems hidden in Chifeng tourism facilities, cultural and recreational facilities and residential supporting facilities. The survey shows that, the public have a certain level of understanding of the city’s characteristic and they pay high attention to the development of the city. But they do not have in-depth knowledge of the city’s characteristics. Finally, basecl on the field work in Chifeng, combined with experts’ analysis, the author finds that there exist many problems in the construction process of Chifeng urban characteristics, such as the poor implementation of urban planning, the confusing city spatial pattern, the lacking of characteristics in the city landscape, and so on.(3)The author suggests that the construction of a distinctive urban landscape be guided by the principles of “overall consistence and differentiation coexisting with each other paying equal attention to development and protection, carrying forward of characteristics and culture, and creating the best living environment”. The author proposes some methods, such as exploiting the resources of sea and mountain rationally, scientifically and reshaping the cultural, reshaping the cultural diversity, so as to achieve the goal of reconfiguring the characteristics of Chifeng urban landscape.
