Study On Urban Landscape Control Along Inter-city Railway Of Zhuzhou City

As the high-speed development of China‘s social economy, the construction of inter-cityrailway becomes the main point of transportation development. Inter-city railway transit nowplays an important role in urban perception, and this means the increasing importance ofdeveloping and controlling the urban landscape of the area along the railway line. As is wellknown, urban landscape is the direct visual reaction of the physical public space in city. It isconsist of natural elements and artificial elements and represents the characteristics of the citydevelopment. In order to build a beautiful urban landscape system, controlling through bothprotective and instructive ways will be necessary in relevant plannings.Before writing this essay, I collected and reorganized abundant documents and real casesabout landscape control from both domestic and overseas, including different legal systems,relevant theoretical researches and practices. Based on the data acquired from the fieldresearch on three domestic inter-city railways including Beijing-Tianjing line,Shanghai-Ningbo line and GZ-Zhuhai line, the essay mainly focused on the goal, strategy andmethod of the landscape control around the railway alongside area. And It had been dividedinto five stages: problem present, theoretical and practical research on landscape control, fieldresearches, project practice and conclusion.The main purpose of the landscape control planning of the inter-city railway in Zhuzhouis to fulfill the beautiful vision of the city when viewed from the train. To realize the purpose,the planning introduced GIS and VR technology to build three-dimensional model as the toolof quantitative analysis and evaluation. In addition, it also compiled a series of detailed plansfor landscape control, including the open space system, sight line corridor system, landmarksystem, building height zoning, landscape control zoning and landscape feature zoning, underthe principle of―total-segmented control‖and―zone-hierarchical control‖. Finally, theoutcome of the planning is consist of guideline, instruction and drawings, and the guidepostswill be introduced into the regulatory plan by the subsequent unban design projects.Based on the research about the landscape control planning of the area along the inter-cityrailway in Zhuzhou, the essay had taken a deep thinking on the position and function of the landscape control planning and proposed some valid suggestions to the current regulationsystem and compilation system on urban planning.The innovations of this essay comes out as follows: first, it expand the meaning of bothcity landscape and landscape control by bringing natural elements into city landscape systemand confirming the public space as the object of landscape control. Second, it firstly presentsthe conception of the landscape control system. Third, it advances the techniques using onlandscape control by introducing the new GIS and VR technology. Fourth, it points out thatcity is capable of bearing landscape, because the development control index system based onthe landscape control can be used as an important reference of the regulatory plan.
