Research On Aerodynamic Characteristics And Flight Test Of UAV Based On Circulation Control

Circulation control is a kind of active flow control technology which can significantly increase the lift, inhibit separation and improve the aerodynamic performance. This research focuses on the control effect of CC on the aerodynamic forces and moments of force, and then carry out the flight test.First, the CC theory is introduced, the main characters of CC are discussed, and its application on the aviation vehile also introduced. Then, the CC actuator(CCA) is designed and its parameters are optimized, experiment on the flow mechanism and the main parameters are carried out.Then, CCA is used for fixed-wing small UAV wind tunnel model, the aerodynamic characteristics are measured. Researches show that, for force, CCA can improve lift, reduce drag, improve the lift-drag ratio greatly, and make the aerodynamic performance better. For moment of force, CCA can produce rolling moment to control the rolling attitude of the aircraft, replace the aileron. The corresponding yawing moment causes beneficial sideslip for cooperative turn, the nose-down pitching moment needs an elevator compensation. To the flaps, CCA can reduce drag while realize high-lift. To the ailerons, CCA can improve aerodynamic performance additionally.Last, the flight simulation model is built on the data of wind tunnel experiment, CCA verifies its effectiveness on aircraft attitude through silumation. A UAV flight test plalform combining the flow control technology and flight control system is built, CCA verifies its effectiveness of attitude control and aerodynanmic performance improvement on aircrafts through flight test.
