The subway tunnel lining concrete would produce a mass of heat during construction due to the hydration heat in construction period. The cracks on the construction form and grow if the thermal stress becomes larger than strength of the concrete. Those cracks produced during construction have great social harms to the structure, especially the penetrating ones. As the reasons showed above, research on the thermal stress is necessary. This subject research combines the project “Durability of Shenzhen Metro Line 11 Underground Structures ”.The article calculates the thermal stress of tunnel lining concrete during construction using finite element method combining ABAQUS software and theoretic methods. It recommends the principles of calculating the thermal stress involving creep stress using ABAQUS. Thermal fields and thermal stress fields of Houhai subway station lining concrete are calculated in this article with simulation of actual construction procedures. And at last, this article provide some suggestions for designing and constructing of tunnel lining concrete. This article conduct temperature monitoring in construction period to further optimize the design, construction and economic cost of tunnel lining concrete. For the construction character of Houhai station, concrete monitoring plans is given and according to the available data, the change of temperature and strain of lining concrete is studied and compared with the theoretical result. The result show that they match each other and effectively guide the construction. In addition, the data plays an important role in inverting temperature parameters.
