Use Schmidt hammer assessment material strength of the concrete bridge is a common detection methods, the main characteristic is test simple, fast, and no damage. But there is still no widely accepted methods to estimating the strength of rock, to expand the apply of rebound vales of rock in masonry arch bridge strength checking, this paper carried out a series of research and experiment. On the one hand, design different curvature recoiling rod end face of the tested rebound hammer, analyze its rebound data deviation; To formulate, on the other hand, different test program for field test, fitting out the correlation between the best rebound value and rock strength curve; And apply such test was carried out by the application of an engineering example to evaluate the bearing capacity. Specific work is as follows:(1) To cut rock surface uneven factors affect the stability of the rebound value, in this paper, the rebound hammer recoiling rod end curvature modification design, analyze the stability of the rebound value under the conditions of different curvature.(2) Selected 18 rock, reference rebound test method for testing agencies, to formulate the six kinds of springback test program to test, we get rock rebound value under all kinds of test program.(3) The test of rock block polishing processing springback test again, had 18 rock block polishing the springback value. Comparison of various kinds of values of springback value and the polished surface under test program, selection and polished surface closest to the test program.(4)Made of rock specimen, the test of rock block cutting get single rock uniaxial compressive strength, use of Matlab to carry on the analysis, establishing all kinds of test program under the springback value and the function between rock uniaxial compressive strength, determine what type of test program and the relationship between uniaxial compressive strength function fitting correlation is better.(5) Using the optimum program is used to detect the material strength of the masonry bridge, according to the correlation function to determine the rock uniaxial compressive strength, and then assess the bearing capacity of the masonry Bridges.
