Discussion On Self-owned Brand Passenger Vehicle Chssis Development Project Schedule Management

These years, many famous automobile corporations like Volkswagen, General Motors, Toyota, Hyundai increased the investment in China. Their productions were pushed onto market faster and faster and the price and quality advantage of their vehicles was getting more and more. The self-owned brand of China is confronted with huge challenges.Our local automobile corporations have accumulated some technical experience on vehicle development while have big disadvantage on project schedule management. Especially the developing timing of Chinese self-owned brand vehicle was facing more and more challenge. The local automobile corporations need to shorten development period for getting more chance from market.In this paper, the writer summarized one project schedule management system which is suitable to self-owned brand passenger vehicle chassis development. This system is based on the theory of project schedule management which was researched by domestic and abroad. The system includes constituting project plan, optimizing project plan, project schedule control and risk warning. The PERT network planning technology is the key discussion point in this paper.The project schedule management system also was used in A3 project which is a new vehicle development project of corporation SMCYC. The management system was used in the development of suspension system, steering system, wheel and tire system. And proved the chassis development project schedule management system was practical and effective.At last there is the summary and the expectation.
