Geological hazards in China, there are many different kinds of meteorological disasters, t he current caused by geological disasters, such as rainfall conditions of mountainous highway traffic accidents, traffic, traffic delays, etc. In this paper, author carry out the research on the b asis of Ankang municipality trunk highways actual geological disaster situation. For Ankang municipality geological disaster type, distribution and formation of the factor analysis, Ankan g municipality of geological disasters are landslide, collapse, debris flow.First of all, the thesis expounds geological disaster area distribution characteristics and formation mechanism, selection of lithology factor, topographical factor, vegetation factor, rainfall factor, the earthquake factor as the main factor of geological disaster formation, using analytic hierarchy process(ahp) to determine the weight of each factor. Geological disaster evaluation factors based on GIS and RS, methods of extracting quantitative with Arc GIS and ERDAS software support, the use of DEM data extraction of terrain factors, using the remote sensing image to extract the vegetation coverage, the kriging interpolation method is used for rainfall interpolation, finally get the geological disasters of all kinds of evaluation factors.Second, the evaluation factor to classification, the dimensionless processing, grid layer w eighted stacking operation, get the Ankang municipality geological disaster risk zoning, is div ided into five grades, low risk, low risk, moderate risk, high risk, high risk. On the basis of ge neral Ankang municipality figure arterial highways and Ankang municipality geological hazar d zoning map overlay, complete arterial highway geological disaster risk evaluation.Finally, according to the evaluation results with actual disasters happening, correspondin g prevention countermeasures are proposed according to risk grades, Ankang municipality for geological disaster prevention and road safety decision provides the basis.The regionalization results show that the Ankang municipality trunk highway geological disasters are mainly distributed in Han Yin, ziyang, Lan Gao Xun Yang, low baihe for geologic al disaster area. At the same time, the geological disaster risk zoning map compared with Ank ang municipality geological disaster situation in recent years, results are basically consistent with that of GIS and RS can be better applied to geological hazards assessment, the Ankang municipality and other parts of the geological disaster risk warning and has certain guiding sig nificance to the safe operation of the road traffic security.
