The flexible manufacturing system(FMS) has become the major production model of modern manufacturing. Many more professionals and research institutions on this field are needed urgently. In order to solve this problem, a small low-cost teaching-oriented FMS control system is designed with the industrial production type of flexible manufacturing line as a model and the main stream technologies are used.Based on of the flexible manufacturing system components, the FMS is divided into processing storage system and logistics transportation system. On the basis of hardware structure of processing and storage system, the control scheme with PLC control and PROFIBUS-DP control is proposed.First, independent PLC control is adopted in each single station to make them form an independent manufacturing unit, which could achieve reliable and stable operation; Then, the master and slave station is connected through the PROFIBUS-DP to form field control network and the system hardware is configured by the STEP7 software for network communication, which could achieve continuous control for the whole production process, including material loading test, transportation, installation, processing and storage. Regarding the wireless communication of AGV in logistics system, the MES+KingView control plan is proposed. First, adopt KingView software to configurate monitoring pictures for the dynamical display of site operation; Then, adopt the object-oriented language C# of.NET for the MES client programming that includes data interaction with KingView OPC Server, electronic path, task scheduling execution, AGV automatic and manual control, etc. The real-time control of logistics system and more flexible system are accomplished.The result of many tests shows that the control system in this article could operate stably and reliably, simulate the real manufacturing situation and possess the characteristics of openness, integration, reconstruction and expandability.
