With the rapid development of the economic and the road transport, the demand for dangerous goods across all industries has been larger and larger, and the quantity of road transport dangerous goods is also rising. The safety problem of road transport is badly day by day with the highly improve of the road transport of dangerous goods, especially the dangerous goods vehicles. Because of dangerous goods has some dangerous proprieties, such as easy firing, explode, poisonous and corruption, it will cause irreparable damage, casualties and environmental pollution when the vehicles happened rear-end collision caused leaking liquid dangerous goods. Therefore, it is of great significance for us to study rear protection technology for promoting the security of tank vehicles crash.Aiming at the defect of the rear protective device, this paper puts forward and designs two new types of protective device which is better than the normal device in protective performance. Two test projects were put forward about rear collision on tank vehicles which is reference the test method and the technical requirements about collision regulations on domestic and overseas.Using the FE method, establish a rear collision FE model about tank vehicle, then process the simulation analyze and real car test. On the basis of the simulation model validation, this paper discusses the quality of different wall thickness of the protective device and the impact dynamic response characteristic under the condition of a certain type of protection device. This paper major contains the following aspect:(1) The real-end protective device structure design and the test plan formulation. Through the analysis of the defects and the application situation of the rear protection device, putting forward two new tank vehicles transporting dangerous goods protective device. Operating passenger frontal impact test scheme was presented in this paper, which includes the testing ground, walls, and azimuth, vehicles, fake people, vehicle driving, test speed, and the false position and test vehicle data measurement and other technical requirements.(2) The simulation of Crash system. With two new protective device as the object, using the finite element modeling, establish the bus- protective device- tank vehicles, buses-fixed walls system collision environment protection device, and analyze the corresponding collision dynamic response characteristics of the system.(3) Real vehicle experiment research. The real vehicle full-scale impact of fixed protection device and bus impact of tank vehicles were tested, collecting the protective device structure deformation, dummy head damage, chest compression and thigh axial force data, such as evaluate the safety of the back of the protection are analyzed, and comparing with simulation results.(4) The response characteristics research under different wall thickness and different quality. As square tube type protective device as the object, selected on the basis of the results of the simulation test, design the crossbar and arm structure plan of the six groups of different wall thickness. Through bus rear-ended dangerous goods transport vehicle simulation test way, analyzes the deformation and energy absorption about the bus and six groups of protective device which has different wall thickness. Select the bus which weight at 10 tons and 14 tons to study the deformation of square tube type of protective device in the process of collision system, energy transfer and the change of the acceleration response. The study of rear protective technology by simulation and test is meaningful for promoting the rear safety of dangerous goods vehicle and ensuring the safety of the road transport of dangerous goods.
