Different kinds of pavement distress appeared in the urban asphalt road, not only have two-dimensional damage, such as line crack, crack, bleeding, pitting surface, etc., but also have three-dimensional deformation damage, which includes rut, subsidence, upheaval, potholes, etc. Although crack damage is the main form of urban road diseases, rut, subsidence, and upheaval also widely exist, some road individual locations even serious. At present, road surface detection annually has unable to accurately identify the three-dimensional pavement damage, and it directly affects the accuracy of road evaluation and timeliness and scientific of the road maintenance decision road.Road track and pavement damage condition can be viewed by three-dimensional visualization of the road reconstruction, which can also provide orientation and digital information(longitude and latitude,elevation,mileage,rut,flatness,volume,etc.).In this paper,the calculation method of pavement damage is researched based on three-dimensional visual road reconstruction, road surface quality can be judged according to the calculation results, which providing important data information for formulating the road maintenance scheme.There were three ways to draw three-dimensional road by OpenGL three-dimensional visualization technology,including grid road, color road and texture road. In the process of shading the color road,a kind of method of three-dimensional pavement elevation shading has been put forward based on logarithmic mapping, which can not only clearly show the poor quality road and with a large pits and upheaval of the road, but also perform pavement damage information, partial flatness and rutting information, enhancing the visualization.In addition, in order to ensure the integrality of the data acquisition and the integrality and continuity of the pavement reconstruction, combining GPS with video of road environment and text have been taken to realize the accurate positioning of kilometer piles,by using combine gyroscope with photoelectric encoder accomplished the error correction in per kilometer. Finally, by researching on the calculation method of the road surface damage, the road quality can be evaluated based on the calculate result.Through the research on calculation method of three-dimensional pavement damage, road disease integrity detection based on three-dimensional visualization reconstruction have been realized,compared with traditional road detection technology, three-dimensional visual road reconstruction system which designed in this paper could realize full coverage of road damage data, evaluate road conditions rapidly and accurately, and provide reliable and scientific technology support for road maintenance decision.
