Switched Reluctance Motor Drive is a new type of drive control system which has simple structure, low cost, wide range of speed regulation and this has become an integral part of the power market, the products have been widely used in the textile industry, the machinery of oil field, pressure machine, coal mining equipment industry and Related areas.This topic take a 45kW three-phase 12/8 pole switch reluctance motor as the controlled object, the controller takes the chip of TMS320F2812 of the TI company as the control unit, and we build the whole system by the software development and hardware design to achieve start and stop, forward/reverse, automatic control and other functions.Firstly, this paper introduced the overview of the switched reluctance motor development, and describes the basic principle and basic structure of SRD and analyzed the process of the linearization of the mathematical model in details. According to the working characteristics of the motor performance under different speed in different period:We introduced the basic control strategy of the SRD and finally take the angle current chopping control on low-speed、angle control and voltage chopping on high-speed. The design of the hardware circuit of the whole system is the key point of the paper, its include the design of the power conversion circuit and driving circuit, the current and position feedback circuit, communication and protection circuit and so on. In the process of software design, we take modular programming mode to realize SRD control strategy and adopt PI control in speed loop, using fuzzy control to optimize motor switch angle when running at high speed. At last, we introduce the software and hardware debugging process, present the experimental result and its analysis.
