It has the vital significance to our country on two big problems, the energy and environment. Application of biomass briquette is a good solution to the transportation problem of fuel, and combustion properties of biomass fuels are also increased, biomass has become a good alternative energy source of coal.Based on reference material, significance and development status of molding machine are summarized. Based on the investigating of biomass molding fuel industry in Henan area and relevant documents refer to the government, this paper elaborates the conditions of biomass possessions and biomass briquette processing in Henan. The performance test of a single head mechanical piston type biomass briquetting machine, which was chosen as the research object, was carried out in a biomass fuel forming production base in Xinxiang, Henan Province, to study the effects of biomass species, moisture content, biomass particle size on biomass briquetting effect, and Find the suitable water content, biomass type and particle size models of biomass fuel forming in the process of production. On the basis of previous research, according to problems found in the process of the test, the physical and chemical properties and the amount of resources of biomass in Henan, some key components of the equipment were improved to make sure that it has higher reliability and is more suitable for the status of the biomass fuel processing in Henan area.Improvement of molding machine used to test:1) The electric heating device is arranged on the forming sleeve seat to solve the problem of the heating and temperature control of forming machine sleeves. It plays a good role in temperature control, the normal start of the forming machine, the forming effect and reducing the wear of forming sleeves.2) Improvement on Conservation type sleeve has prolonged the retention time, reduced the sensitivity of moisture, expanded moisture range of molding machine which can process, and used special design on the Conservation type sleeve to neutralize the residual elasticity after compressed.3) Improvement of the feeding mechanism haw solved the tear at Auger and bunker connections, made the processing of jam more convenient and fast for workers, saved the troubleshooting time in production, the construction was improved efficiency.
