The South China Sea, one of the major marine economy areas in China, is an active maritime region, where marine fishing, shipping and developing activities appears frequently. However, because of the tropical weather and disastrous wave multiple waters, countless maritime accidents have been aroused, and as result, maritime search and rescue missions become heaviest than ever。In the maritime search and rescue missions, it is inevitable that a certain time interval arises between the accident occurrence to the rescue force. Meanwhile, under the action of wave, sea surface wind and other elements of the marine environment, the position of the ship and crew in distress changes as time, and it’s difficult that the rescue force reach the accurate distress position. Where should rescue forces arrive to accurately search distress target, is urgently needed to strengthened in maritime search and Rescue Decision Support System.Foreign research on maritime search and rescue activities and service system starts earlier, now mature and efficient search and rescue system has been built. But the domestic research of maritime search and rescue system is mainly limited to theoretical research, mainly focus on the comprehensive function of the system, the absence of the timeliness of attention to rescue prediction, the system has not been able to meet the requirements of operational forecast.Compared with the developed countries, the gap is mainly manifested in:the drift path prediction method of our maritime distress ships and personnel are still not mature, the prediction efficiency and accuracy needs to improve, the prediction results of search and rescue forces, also fail to timely aspects.Based on the above, maritime search and rescue decision support system what can rapidly and accurately predict the target position of search and display its on the unit established fill in the blanks. Through the application of the system, after receiving the search and rescue personnel in distress, input vessel overboard time and specific location, it makes the forecast results in 15 minutes, what has obvious effects on promoting the efficiency and success rate of rescue.Based on a lot of documents, through the comparative analysis method to study the search domestic and foreign multinational different system and research status, the author understands the background, significance of the establishment of the maritime search and rescue system, and collected more than 100 occurred in the accident in the South China Sea, combines with the actual situation of the South China Sea accident analysis summarized the time, spatial distribution the law, as well as the cause of the accident and puts forward the related countermeasure. Further integration of function module construction of emergency aided decision system for maritime search and rescue applications, and details on the South China Sea demonstration area of maritime search and rescue emergency aided decision system of business test for a period of one year, during the search for cases were analyzed and summarized, and put forward the problems and suggestions for improvement.This research mainly focus on the system in the application and practice of the South China Sea, the combination of theory and practice, compared with the previous theoretical study, it becomes more targeted, more practical significance.
