Driving style recognition can be typically divided into two kinds: common driving style recognition and aggressive driving style recognition. It’s necessary for us to know the two kinds of driving style well and, based on a sample, judge which one is greatly helpful for us to design and implement vehicle safety systems.Due to the fact that most drivers have no idea that their driving behavior has been recognized as aggressive driving style, potentially aggressive driving behavior is currently the main cause of traffic accidents. Research on potentially aggressive driving behavior has recently become a hot topic. Studying a driving style recognition system that assists safe driving, reduces traffic accidents caused by human factors and makes people feel safe and secured is not only a social concern but also a target set for the development of traffic and computer science and technology, which has a practical significance to the highly developing transportation industry in China. In order to strengthen drivers’ awareness of danger and create a safely driving environment, Dynamic Time Warping(DTW) used in speech recognition field have been applied to the analysis of driving behavior, based on which, a new experimental system has been designed according to sensor system of intelligent sensor terminal.Nowadays, intelligent sensor terminal has a rich sensor system through which driving process has been sampled, the data analyzed and driving style further recognized so as to give drivers a feedback whenever there is aggressive driving behavior. Sensors in Smartphones acquire information about drivers, their cars and roads in real time. Sampled information and data are comprehensively processed to indicate whether there will be aggressive driving incidents to which result feedback gives alert feedback to strengthen drivers’ awareness of safety. Different from the driving style recognition system in the past, this system uses various sensors to collect and analyze data. Camera is also used to consistently detect drivers and roads. Thus, driving style recognition is fully solved and all processes are finished at smart phone, which is easy to deploy and use at a low cost...
