The Research On Reform Of Commerical Pedestrian Street Under The Background Of Old City Renewal

With the gradual advance of economic development and the scope of the city’s growing, the process of accelerating urbanization manly represent for the urban population led to a sharp increase in demand for residential space and the increasing height of building in the city.However, with the rapid changing urban appearance, rapid and large-scale construction has brought a lot of social problems, such as the structure of old town ruined, traffic congested, environment contaminated, functional declined, historic character style disappeared. As the most concentrated, vibrant and active commercial center, the commercial streets fully reflect the social appearance, condition of economic development and cultural heritage of a city, it is the most sensitive area of a city. Therefore, the reform of the commercial street burdened the task of revitalizing the old town in the city.This paper takes the walking street as the main research object, takes the Anqing City People’s Road pedestrian street reform project which is field researched by the author as a case study, to detailed analyze the application of the reform of commercial walking street in the old town. The author divided the paper into six chapters, starting from the background of the study, found the problems in the current condition. Through the theoretical research on domestic and commercial walking street of the city, the author summarizes the reform method for providing a theoretical basis for the future Anqing City People’s Road pedestrian street reform project. The third chapter starts from the background of old town development of Anqing City, introduces the reform process of Renmin Road. The author utilizes the questionnaire survey to analyze the satisfaction of people for the road reform, and form an initial impression on it. The chapter IV starts from the viewpoint of space and building facade renovation of commercial walking street, using picture of the way to deeply analyze all aspects of the reform, and find the existing problems. The chapter V summarizes the strategies and principles which are fit for other instances according to previous content.Based on above behaviors, the author hopes it can be helpful for the reform of Renmin commercial walking street in the future, and also provide new ways and theories for the reform of commercial streets in the old town in China.
