With the development of ships’ enlargement, integration and automation, the electrical load on board increases rapidly, and the corresponding power of the Marine generator increases greatly as well. For this reason, the Marine high-voltage electric system has become the first choice of large passenger ships, container ships, cruise ships and so on.Moreover, the Marine Power Station is the core of the ship power system, its working quality directly affect the ship’s overall performance. It’s very meaningful to realize the real time monitoring of the Marine high-voltage Power Station in consideration of the risk of it. What’s more, it will improve the crew’s working conditions, ensure personal safety and improve the continuity and high reliability of power supply.Therefore, this thesis designs the monitoring and control system which uses WINCC as the monitoring software and uses SIEMENS S7-1200 PLC as the core controller. This monitoring and control system collects the real-time running state of the Marine high-voltage Power Station by the core controller PLC and realize the main automatic functions by analysis and judgments.The automation of the Marine high-voltage Power Station and the monitoring and control system in this thesis have the following functions:1) The function of automatic start and stop of the generator, the function of automatic quasi-synchronous parallelization and the function of automatic frequency;2) The function of overload protection, the short circuit protection and the under voltage protection of the generator;3) The upper computer monitoring and control system displays the real-time running state of the Marine high-voltage Power Station and realizes the long-distance monitoring and control function.The automation of the Marine high-voltage Power Station and the monitoring and control system designed in this thesis is debugged based on the platform of the marine physical simulation of the marine power station in the marine power station laboratory. The system can realize the expected functions safely and reliably after the experiment.
