Energy is the motivation of social development, so it is the pursuit of human to use energy more completely. At the same time, energy crisis and environmental pollution have attracted more attention with the rapid development of the global economy. Therefore, in science, there are a huge number of researchers to find and analyses new energy sources all over the world. A Fuel Cells, a new energy, has received widespread attention in its field. However, a fuel cell is costly, and its control system is complicated. Hence, a reliable monitoring system of fuel cells is much significant for popularizing this new energy.As a hot topic, fuel cells have been studied for a long time, and it is much helpful for further improvements that reliable data are got and monitored. This dissertation will design a fuel cell monitor system based on the virtual instrument technology, and it includes the electrochemical workstation, the LabVIEW software and the NI Compact RIO. First of all, this dissertation will introduce the overall design scheme of this system, hardware devices, and the communication mode between the computer and this system. It also explains the monitoring parameters. Moreover, it introduces the hardware of this system, such as controllers, actuators.Secondly, according to the communication protocols and the relevant parameters, the dissertation will design the computer program, and it includes the login system, the data capture system, the parameter control system, the alarm system and the recording storage system. It can monitor real-time performance data of fuel cells, and these data can be stored rapidly and reliably. Through this program, users can send control commands to control the equipment operations, such as the diaphragm high pressure pump and the temperature controller. This program can verify the normality of data. Otherwise, it issues alarm information and processes this alarm. There is an electrochemical experimental part in this system, and users can test the performance of fuel cells to generation corresponding function for analysis.Finally, due to the friendly interface of this system, the operation is convenient and intuitive, and the reaction principle is clear. Control is accurate without delay, so this system meets requirements of monitor, control and test.
