China’s power grid construction has entered the UHV and large scale stage. The construction of backbone grid is related to adaptability and rationality of grid structure in the next decades or even centuries. With the increase of the scale and transmission distance of power grid, the span of the power source, power grid and load increase, which causes the factors and constraints on large-scale grid increasing. It is difficult to meet to the needs of formulating a scientific and reasonable network planning, if still according to traditional power grid planning evaluation method which on the basis of the load predicted and only consider the safety and economy, or just from the point of view the grid itself. The thesis proposed the issues and concepts of the large power grid adaptability. By calculating the income of each investor under a variety of strategies, the interaction and influence among power source, power grid and load is analyzed. And these provide the basis for each investor’s decision. The main work and the results are summarized as follows.Research by the factors what affect grid development adaptability, the internal and external factors of large power grid development can be attributed to the influence of various factors on power source, power grid and load. Aimming at the adaptability evaluation of power source, power grid and load, the investment and income game models and game algorithm based on the ISO scheduling model and nodal price model are present. Numerical result demonstrates the effectiveness of game models and the algorithm. The interaction of the power source, power grid and load are analyzed by three examples, respectively. Which is between the power source and power grid, power grid and load, the power source, power grid and load. By finding the Nash equilibrium under the combinations of different strategies, the three scenarios explain their behaviors, and provide the evidence decisions of them.This paper proposed the assessment theory construction of grid development adaptability for the first time. Specific to three factors in gird which are power source, power grid and load, an investment income game model and algorithm based on game theory is established. The calculation example presents the result that interaction and influence happens among power source, power grid and load. Nash equilibrium point is found. The behaviors of power source, power grid and load is explained respectively.
