Thermal analysis furnace is the core component of thermal analysis furnace. It offers a necessary environment for measuring the relationship between material physical properties and temperature at the condition of temperature program control. The uniformity of temperature field affects temperature accuracy. Improving the uniformity of the temperature field by optimizing thermal analysis furnace structure and atmosphere flow parameters and so on, has become a focus for increasing accuracy of thermal analysis instrument. Due to complex structure of the furnace, and the many factors on affecting the uniformity of temperature, experimental research is difficult, and with high cost and long cycle. As the research subject, the temperature field of the thermal analysis furnace is simulated and optimized by ANSYS software. It provides theoretical and practical guidance for the development of thermal analysis furnace. The main research includes:Firstly, the physical and mathematical models of thermal analysis furnace and the atmosphere are built, and the models are divided into unstructured mesh. With the method of fluid-solid coupling, the fluid finite element analysis software ANSYS CFX is used to simulate the thermal analysis furnace’s transient state temperature field at the condition of atmosphere flow is 30 m L/min and heating rate is 10℃/min. Cloud image display the temperature distribution is bad in the center of the furnace temperature and bearing position.Secondly, according to the requirements of the thermal analysis furnace’s temperature field, selecting the four points as the verification points of temperature distribution at the uniform temperature distribution of thermal analysis furnace. Temperature tests at the thermal analysis furnace’s working temperature of 50℃, 100℃, 300℃, 600℃. Comparing the results of temperature from test with the numerical simulation values in the same conditions, it is shown that both have the same regular.Thirdly, simulated research of temperature field is made on the thermal analysis furnace working in different atmosphere flow, different heating rates, different bracket materials and different bearing spacing. Summarize the law of atmosphere flow, heating rates, bracket materials and bearing spacing influence on thermal analysis furnace’s temperature uniformity filed. Synthesize the above factors, resulting in the atmosphere flow of 25 m L/min, heating rate of 8℃/min, aluminum bracket material and bearing spacing of 12 mm, and make a numerical simulation of thermal analysis furnace’s temperature field. In the whole temperature range, the uniformity of thermal analysis furnace’s temperature field has arrive 0.22℃ from 0.39℃ and the whole temperature of temperature field is improved.
