Palletized transport is an important part of railway containerized transport. Goods palletized loading is an important guarantee to realize containerized transport. The quality of suitable palletized-goods loading scheme will affect the truck loading efficiency, thereby affecting the transportation cost, delivery cycle and the utilization rate of resources. Therefore, the reasonable goods loading scheme will bring greater economic benefits of railway containerized transport. On the basis of the theoretical research about loading optimization at home and abroad, combined with the actual conditions of railway goods loading, railway freight car loading optimization models are constructed of similar rectangular goods, similar cylinder goods and mixed rectangular goods by using pallets, and the corresponding algorithms are designed according to the characteristics of loading problem. And the railway pallet loading optimization system is developed and the design thoughts of optimizing algorithm of this article are realized. The main research results are list as follows:(1)Analysis of the constraint conditions of railway suitable palletized-goods loading problems, including the center position of gravity constraint, the loading range constraint, the goods support surface constraint, the loading capacity constraint, the placement non-overlapping constraint, the placement direction constraint and the goods compressive strength constraint. These constraint conditions provide the theoretical basis for the establishment of the loading optimization models.(2)To solve the similar rectangular goods pallet loading optimization problem, the optimization model is established with the target of the largest number of goods in trucks or maximum goods space utilization in trucks. According to the characteristics of similar goods three-dimensional loading problem, it can be converted to determining the goods stacking layers on pallets, pallet stacking layers in trucks, the goods layout on the pallet and the pallet layout in trucks. Then analysis of the method on determining the goods and pallet stacking layers in trucks, and put forward the two-dimensional layout optimization algorithm to get the solution of the two-dimensional layout of goods and pallets. Through analyzing of the examples, it can prove the effectiveness of the loading algorithm.(3)To solve the similar cylinder goods pallet loading optimization problem, the optimization model is established with the target of the largest number of goods in trucks or maximum goods space utilization in trucks. The cylinder three-dimensional loading problem can be turned into the circle two-dimensional packing problem. Then use the circular standard layout algorithm to solve the problem, and through analyzing of examples, it can verify the effectiveness of the loading algorithm.(4)To solve the mixed rectangular goods pallet loading optimization problem, the optimization model is established with the target of the least number of trucks, and put forward three stage loading algorithm to solve the problem. In the first stage, use the two-dimensional layout algorithm to get the pallet loading optimization scheme of the same goods. In the second stage, use the heuristic algorithmg based on plane and goods blocks to get the pallet loading optimization scheme of the mixed goods. In the third stage, get the solution of trucks loaded with pallet packages. Finally, an example of mixed goods loading scheme was given.(5)Railway pallet loading optimization system is developed by using Microsoft Visual Studio2012. The system mainly includes the database module, input module, pallet design module, loading computing module, constraint conditions module, output module and graphics module. Users can view3D loading scheme through different angles.
