The Research On Place In Renovation And Reformation Project Of Urban Traditional Blocks

Cookie-modern city, meet the needs of modern life and urban space planning, in order to show their own characteristics, people began renovation and reformation of the Traditional neighborhoods in the city.Yet there is no sense of organization and protection of planning and design, urban traditional blocks gradually deprived of the historical, geographical and cultural advantages. In this background, this article is going to create a regional historical inheritance, the continuation of traditional life and a cultural atmosphere of urban traditional blocks for the target to initiate studies.This study by used activists in urban traditional blocks as the research object, chose the reformed and renovated urban traditional blocks in Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Fujian, used behavioral observation, graphic recording and survey research methods. Integrated the data and the research theory at home and abroad of the urban traditional blocks and place,to produce the evaluation system of the real project. Integrated qualitative analysis and factor analysis, regression analysis and other quantitative analysis methods, searched the behavioral characteristics and place evaluation of people in different types of urban traditional blocks, summarized the impact on people’s behavior of different block planning and material composition, combined with block place’s evaluation scores of the dependent and independent variables, extracted uniqueness, elegance, harmony, modern, busy, functional layout, lighting the seven critical factors that affect place feeling of urban traditional blocks of renovation and reformation. On this basis, compares and analyzes the relation between the activities of the pedestrian and place feelings, the arrangement of space and the design of buildings. Ultimately concludes, in the process of reformation and renovation, from iconic objects, architectural shape, lifestyle, business activities, block line, structures, these six elements can be more rationally and effectively reflect the place of urban traditional blocks.
