Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT) is a new type of automatic transmission,which received wide attention of automobile enterprises and researchers both at home and abroad in recent years. DCT has many advantages, for example high transmission efficiency, compact installation space, without power interruption during shifting process, etc. In the process of vehicle operation, it is hard to avoid the failure of DCT electronic control system for the reasons that include the influence of the harsh environment, the restrictions of driver’s skill level and other reasons. The failure will directly affect the safety and performance of the vehicle. Therefore, the ability to accurately diagnose the faults of DCT electronic control system is essential. The failure of DCT electronic control system is acted as research subjects, and the following aspects are mainly studied.1 Survey the development and research status of the fault diagnosis technology for DCT electronic control system, analyze the development, advantages disadvantages of the evidence theory and its application status in the field of fault diagnosis, research the feasibility of evidence theory in the applications of DCT electronic control system fault diagnostic;2 Describes the composition and working principle of DCT electronic control system, analyze the types of the possible faults which occur in DCT electronic control system, and research the common fault diagnosis technology for electronic control system;3 Analyze the related concepts and basic principle of evidence theory, research the reason and solution of paradox problem in traditional evidence theory, lead to the improved evidence theory based on the distance between two bodies of evidence, and provide the numerical example;4 Research the DCT electronic control system fault diagnostic technology which combining the evidence theory and the neural network, and develop its implementation steps. In the environment of MATLAB/Simulink, establish the simulation models of DCT electronic control system fault diagnosis base on the fault data samples. Simultaneously, instantiate the simulation models under different load conditions and ramp conditions.
