With the rapid development of automation technology, modern ships need power system with increasingly high continuity, reliability and economy, so monitoring, management and control for the power system become increasingly important. This relies on real-time data acquisition system with high-precision. In response to this demand, this paper designed ship power data acquisition unit based on DSP technology, advanced software implementation technology and virtual instrument technology.According to the basic requirements for data acquisition units, this paper proposed the design and implementation for the hardware, software and virtual instrument part of the data acquisition unit. For data acquisition unit DSP software implementation issues, this paper developed DSP software based on MATLAB Automatic Code Generation technology, making software development cycles are significantly reduced, reliability of the algorithm is enhanced. For the presence of random noise existed in signals of power system, FIR band pass filter is designed in the signal acquisition channel to improve the accuracy of signal acquisition. For frequency signals and power factor Measurement in data acquisition system, using the method of soft measurement, this paper realized the accurate measurement of frequency, power factor based on soft measure algorithm designed in MATLAB Stateflow. For data monitoring requirements of data acquisition system, Lab VIEW virtual instrument is designed and implemented, the designed virtual instrument can accurately monitor multi-channel measurement real-time data. According to the need of ship power station integrated automation need to share data, OPC server for data acquisition units is designed and implemented based on Lab VIEW. The test results showed that the OPC server can share measurement data reliably.Ship Power Station data acquisition unit this paper designed can accurately capture voltage, current, frequency, power factor information from power system of ship power station. Data acquisition unit provides a RS232 serial port and CAN expansion interface, and OPC server is provided on PC, those makes the system has strong data openness. This system is simple to operate, has user-friendly GUI, rich interface, with wide range of applications in ship systems.
