With the rapid development of the national economy and the improvement of people’s living standards, the demands of industry and business users is growing. Under the new environment, energy and environmental issues have been the spot of the world, and the development of the transmission line cable is a high-speed development period, how to conserve resources in the transmission line and reduce the cost with the same capacity is becoming a biger and biger question.The new energy-saving conductors and solve the problem very well.So the research of the energy-saving conductors is very important.we did the corona test and the resistivity and temperature coefficient of resistivity test for high conductivity aluminum hard steel core wire, aluminum alloy core aluminum wire, mid-strength aluminum alloy core aluminum wire, carbon fiber composite core wire and other wires and get the main electrical characteristics of various types of new energy-saving wire. We make a comparison with the conventional wire performance data provide strong support for the selection and design of future wires. Finally, we use ansys simulation for the conductors and compared the results with the test.The results show that the new energy saving conductors have the better effection than the normal ones. They can take place of the normal conductors in the transmisson lines.
