In the world energy crisis, energy costs rising, the energy issue in modern society has become a constraint to economic and social development of the determinants of saving energy for ease constraints and reduce pressure on the social environment, to protect the safety of the market economy and achieve sustainable development, the inevitable can be recycled selection. Energy conservation is an urgent need to address the problem, power plants must strengthen management,energy conservation, reduce costs, to a place in the electricity market.Auxiliary capacity of thermal power plants are generally in accordance with the situation under full load conditions make design choices, however, peaking generators running in the design of auxiliary equipment is not suitable for peaking operation mode, resulting in auxiliary and drive motor work less efficient, causing a lot of wasted energy, affect the overall economic efficiency of enterprises. Moreover,with the increase in the number of start and stop, start and stop the impact of the auxiliary motor and the power grid is also more frequent. This requires the use of an appropriate adjustment by speed control, in order to achieve a reasonable energy savings.Power electronics technology, the rapid development of automatic control technology, making the frequency control its excellent speed, start and energy efficiency and many other advantages, widely recognized as the best way of speed.With the emergence of high power semiconductor devices, high-voltage inverter emerged, making the speed to run large-scale high-energy power plant auxiliaries into reality.In this paper, taking the ASD6000 series of high power high voltage inverter in Huadian Weifang company application experience based on research and analysis, to determine the use of variable frequency speed regulating device, in order to save energy, reduce the electricity efficiency, have a more profound understanding of the structure and the working principle of the high voltage frequency conversion and the whole circuit and the problems existing at present, for the high voltage inverter daily maintenance, equipment maintenance, upgrading and accumulated experience, and from the aspects of operation, maintenance of equipment, components testing,personnel training, abnormal operation, fault handling and improvement scheme was put forward and the matters needing attention, pointed out the key points and directions for future work.
