Acoustic doppler current Profiler(hereinafter referred to as ADCP) is based on the acoustic Doppler principle,using composition of velocity,measuring vertical sections of the current distribution. The measured flow rate for each water depth unit is the average velocity of the unit’s center. ADCP is a high-tech product based on the improvement of traditional sea flow measurement method.It’s using sonar and radar basic principles, and being used in modern digital signal processing technologies.The flow rate that ADCP measured owns the accuracy raditions flow meter can not match,so it’s widely used in ocean velocity profile measurement of velocity profile and inland rivers.For acoustic Doppler principle applied in the field of marine flow measuring research has attracted people’s attention.
