Paihe bridge of the avenue arround Chaohu is a steel box tied arch bridge with three spans. The steel parts are hoisting upon little bracket during the construction process. The construction sequence is beam first and arch late. This thesis established a finite element model for the whole construction process and proposed detailed strategies for the construction process. The main work of this thesis is as follows:1. The structural styles, construction methods, structural control methods, and the current situation and development of the structural control methods for steel box tied arch bridge are briefly introduced.2. The detailed finite element model using commercial software Midas/Civil for the construction process is established. The internal forces, deformation, and stability of the structure during the construction process are also analyzed.3. The detail structural construction control scheme for the bridge construction is proposed in this thesis. Based on the construction control scheme, the strain and deformation of critical cross sections of the beam and arch are measured and compared with the theoretical results. Based on measured and theoretical results, the strategies of the following construction are proposed. Based on, the analysis, the stress and deformation of the bridge is well controlled, and the final constructed bridge achieves the design objectives.4. The influence matrix and radial basis function neural network methods for the cable tensile force control are compared. Based on the latter method, the tensile forces for cable pre-stressed step are determined.
