The air conditioner is more and more widely used in architecture, which leads to the increase of power consumption. The peak of air conditioning power load is almost overlaps with the city peak demand, while air conditioner power consuming load is relatively lower in off-peak which make the peak valley disparity of power network load increase. The ice-storage air conditioning technology can help cut peak and fill valley, balance power network load, ease peak demand, improve the efficiency of generating equipment and reduce the pollution to the environment. This thesis studies the ice-storage air conditioning system of office building in Jinan and aims to analyze its economy and emission reduction effectiveness. Firstly, DeST-c is adopted to establish the office building model. The dynamic load is calculated which the maximum is 7212 kW. The influence of seasonal characteristics of air conditioning load and electrical price structure on ice-storage is analyzed. Comparison of economy is conducted between ice-storage system and the conventional air conditioning system. Analysis on environment impact of using the ice-storage air conditioning system. The results showed the ice-storage air conditioning system can decrease annual operating expense by 17.3% in contrast to the conventional one. The static investment can be payed back in 4.47 years. At the same time, the load rate of power network can be improved and the carbon dioxide emission reduction of ice-storage air conditioning system is 2028.6 tons/year. This thesis provides references for the application of ice-storage air conditioning for Jinan region.
