Power system reactive power compensation and reactive power balance, is the basic condition to ensure the voltage quality. With the rapid development of local economy and national energy policies to promote, the continuous expansion of network scale, the rapid growth of power load, the grid structure is also more complex, resulting in a decline in part of the circuit power factor, loss increase. The majority of users can be satisfied at the same time in the basic requirements of power supply, the requirements for power quality is also improved. Optimal reactive power compensation method the effect is not very ideal, and increasing user demand gradually yield gap,in the power head or compensation of reactive power compensation to achieve optimal, and the voltage and reactive power quality is not ideal, the loss reduction effect is not obvious. Therefore it is urgent to reactive power optimization method to reduce network loss effectively, make the county power grid based on hierarchical partition of local balance, to achieve full network optimal, effectively improve the safety, reliability and economy of power grid operation.In this paper, according to the actual situation of Jingning county power grid increasing scale and complex, based on the analysis of the power grid construction, operation, management status and problems of reactive power and voltage. And on the basis of "top-down" and "bottom-up" calculation principle of compensation, according to the Jingning power grid load property, structure, operation parameters and other factors, the use of reactive power optimization technology support platform, analysis of application model of optimal reactive power compensation for Jingning power grid is scientific and reasonable, put forward Jingning county power grid reactive power optimization ideas and construction scheme construction compensation. The research and practice of automatic compensation of reactive power in Jingning power grid two lOkV distribution line, high voltage automatic reactive power compensation device with harmonic tracking compensation technique, the local 10kV distribution network line optimization of reactive power compensation, transmission to reduce the reactive power, improve the power factor of the bidirectional voltage regulator; effective suppression of small hydropower unit on line voltage fluctuation, improve power supply quality. Finally, before and after the transformation of the power grid is analyzed the technical analysis and economic benefits, and improve the power factor measurement results indicate that the 10000 volt line, improve the quality of voltage, and achieved a certain economic benefits and social benefits.
