Inner Mongolia Jinglong Generation Limited Liability Company has 2×600MW turbine generator, the boiler is designed and manufactured by Shanghai Boiler. It is the model for the SG2059/17.5-M915. In normal operation, NOx emissions 650mg/m3 or more. NOx can’t meet the national emission standards. Our factory decided to carry out low NOx combustion adjustment and low nitrogen burners transformation. After the transformation and run tests,we achieve the NOx emissions in the 260mg/m3 or less. NOx emissions met the requirements. This paper describes the background of the significance of low nitrogen transformation, introduced the advanced low NOx combustion technology Retrofit. After the transformation, we are on the unit into the burning hot commissioning tests a month. During the hot test, test by burning adjustment and related data collection, analysis and adjustments, we adjust the burner unit running at its best. Boiler performance indicators have reached even better than the design requirements. This long-term stability for the future boiler, economic,environmental operation to provide reliable data. After boiler, we meet EPRI conducted a number of tests, analysis of boiler overtemperature beyond reason. Take specific countermeasures against the specific reasons, effective control of the overrun times. Through low-nitrogen burners transformation, NOx emissions decrease about 40 percent on average, carbon content of slag decrease, boiler coking problem has been greatly improved, and significantly reduce the number of sootblowing. By optimizing the operation adjustment, the overrun of steam temperature, wall temperature and steam pressure reduce monthly. It gets a good control. Finally, this paper presents the technical outlook for low-nitrogen burners transformation.
