Jingdezben XinChang District Remolding Old Porcelain Industry Research

The background information and the present environmental characteristics of the old ceramics factory in Jindezhen are analyzed in this article. Particularly, based on the filed investigation of the selected factory, this article also attempts to analyze its existing problems, instrumental value and its influence on the development of ceramics industry as well as its current state. It is also worth mentioning that the article is directed by the transformation of ceramic culture tourism in regards of further research in this field.In view of the main purpose in this article, it aims to proceed the development ofceramic tourism in Jingdezhen. Specifically, it hopes to update and form an area featured with the art tourism, to activate the urban development and its commercial value, and to deal withthe employment of surrounding areas by transforming the old porcelain factory.In order to do that, this paper has made discussions from different aspects,such as the protection and sustenance of historic culture and buildings; the development of art and creative culture; reasonable planning and the use of landscape,etc. To be more specific,one of the factories in Jingdezhen has been used as a design case for the overall landscape planning and related research.
