With the development of smart grid construction in State Grid Corporation, the types of smart component will be more and more, when they run in the substation, they will encounter a variety of electromagnetic disturbance. Between substation devices with limited electromagnetic environment can be achieved within the EMC coexistence, and this has become the focus of the smart grid. To ensure the safety and stable operation of the substation smart components, electromagnetic environment of its location is measured, analyzed, modeled and evaluated, and then against electromagnetic interference is proposed.Firstly, anti-electromagnetic interference performance indicators of smart components in the substation by combining the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is analysed, and the anti-electromagnetic interference performance comprehensive evaluation system of smart components in the substation is established.Secondly, The use of finite element analysis method based Ansoft HFSS software, secondary cable box of smart component is simulated and modeled, and shielding effectiveness’influence about gap width, lap length and so on, is analyzed. The waveguide theory gives a physical explanation. A inserted groove secondary cable box is proposed. The measures of increased groove box, shielded metal shrapnel and received at the bare lap is uesd, electromagnetic leakage has played a significant inhibition. For the dispersed ground, GIS shell ground potential rise is inhibited very well. Finally, the insertion loss of EMI power filter in case of high frequency is analyzed, and the increased insertion loss method is proposed. In order to imultaneously achieve anti-surge and filter high frequency disturbances, a combined surge suppression circuit is designed, and the effectiveness of the circuit is demonstrated by experiments.
