| EPC general contract management model is the overall engineering project management mode adopted by contractor starting from design, procurement, construction,installation,debugging to inspection and operation, which is popular in developed countries and international engineering contracting market. In recent years, with the rapid development of domestic industrial and economic strength, relevant enterprises and departments have begun to promote EPC general contract management model in domestic market. EPC general contract management model makes the management system more optimized, achieving more obvious effect. With the EPC general contract management model gradually improved in domestic market operation, more and more professional design institutes begin to study EPC general contract management model, which gradually replaces the traditional management model, and increases its application proportion in engineering management. In this paper, EPC general contract management model used in power transmission and transformation project of electric power design institutes based on 220kV Tun Shan power transmission and transformation project case in Ningbo Electric Power Design Institute Ltd..Firstly, EPC general contract management model is introduced, including its detailed definition, origin, characteristics, existing problems. Secondly, relevant theories of power transmission and transformation engineering are presented, among which the detail definition, characteristics, existing problems and solutions of power transmission and transformation engineering are contained. Thirdly, the concrete implementation of EPC general contract management model in power transmission and transformation project of electric power design institutes is illustrated from eight aspects of bidding,design,procurement, resources, progress, quality, cost and post evaluation. Compared with the traditional management model in power transmission and transformation project of electric power design institutes, the overall assumption that power transmission and transformation projects of electric power design institutes adopt EPC general contract management model is put forward. Lastly, take 220kV Tun Shan power transmission and transformation project case in Ningbo Electric Power Design Institute Ltd. for example, demonstrating the fruits achieved and problems to be solved when the above mentioned assumption being taken into practical use. The conclusion of this research it to form a set of management system for Ningbo Electric Power Design Institute Ltd. to implentment the EPC general contract management model. By constracting with traditional contract management model, I find it is a must for Electric Power Design Institute Ltd. to implentment EPC general contract management model in power transmission and transformation project to save money and meet the schedule, cost and quality standard of the project.Thus, it is a tendency of reform that electric power design institutes, as well as some other professional design institutes, will employ the EPC general contract management model in the future engineering projects. Whether each electric power design institutes can be successfully transformed into EPC company or not will directly matter the future development of each institute and the success of becoming integrated into the global market. |
