With the high speed of economic growth in China, people are in increasingly high pursuit of quality of life day by day, and their demands for the living space also show great changes, thus the change of the understanding of the architectural form--villa. "Villa" is a type of product segmented from the residential market which provides a brand-new change and choice for people’s life style, and meets the personalized mass requirements for living environment. Among modern interior design, villa interior design occupies an important position, which is a kind of design concept of modern life, designing based on the theme of villa. With the increasing number of villa purchase crowd, people’s demands for villa interior design are growing. Villa interior design is being placed in growth stage in our country, and the development and activeness of its market is an innovation in some sense. However, in the process of its development, many problems have been produced.This paper expounds the development status and trend of villa interior design in our country, summarizes the purposes and principles of interior design and the villa interior design, and studies some typical examples of domestic and foreign modern villa interior design. This paper, mainly starting with the practical project- "green-space orchid palace", analyzes its villa’s main design style-- the application of the concept of neoclassicism style and neoclassical elements in the villa interior design, and finally applies the theoretical research results to guide practice. In addition, this paper also discusses the space personality, the function practicability, the low-carbon environmental protection of its materials of "green-space orchid palace" villa interior design, and think deeply about how to create a more unique villa space environment, to reveal the owner’s personality and taste and reflect the regional culture characteristics of the place, etc...
