The Research On Ground Pavement Landscape Design Of Campus

With the continuous development of high-education enterprise, the university campus on its scale has been expanding rapidly over the past few years whether it is new one or expanded old-schoolyard, which putting forward higher requirements on the plan of campus overall landscape. Especially as the proposal of "Landscape University" and "Garden University". Making campus planning and design it is not merely limited in their functional area and plant configuration, it is more about reflecting the ecological and human spirit requirements on the basis of emphasis the rationalization of overall arrangement. The ground pavement, as an important part of the campus landscape, playing an increasingly important role on the building of overall campus landscape.Through consulting relevant literature about pavement landscape design and field research of pavement landscape from several universities, combined with related disciplines pavement landscape ecology, materials science, landscape aesthetics, environmental psychology and art theory, this article have conducted preliminary study on campus ground pavement, the main findings are as follows:(1)Through investigation about several campus’ground pavement landscape status, such as Hunan Agricultural University, Central South University of Forestry and Technology, Zhongshan University, Guangzhou University City,University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, analyzed the characteristics of the constituent elements of the pavement landscape, the main problems existing campus ground pavement landscape is:the decorative effect is not in place (formal monotonous, plain color, single material, the rough details of handling), post maintenance is not in place, the theme of campus culture is not prominent.(2) On the basic analysis of field survey, Summarized the main five types of campus ground pavement (roadways, sidewalks, tour trail, plazas, parking lot pavement),proposed campus ground pavement landscape design principles which named functional, ecological, and cultural decorative. And put forward the ideas about campus ground pavement quality reconstruction start from paving colors, materials used, detailed design and theme of cultural.(3)Put the theoretical system which researched and concluded about the university ground pavement landscape design theory apply to Hunan Biological And Electromechanical Polytechnic’s actual case designing, aiming at the status about Hunan Biological And Electromechanical Polytechnic’s floor covering. Through the "one point" that is a center of cultural square,"both sides" that the two green landscape,"three zones" that three segments in different functional areas of the main road about ground pavement reconstruction design, in order to highlight the historical context and reflect the school’s culture of "farming" theme.University campus pavement landscape directly affects the whole university campus landscape, rich layers of pavement landscape can not only to provide students with a relaxed and happy learning and leisure space, but also reflects the campus historic and cultural connotation, and it also has played a positive effect of the university campus landscape construction.
