Analysis Of The Display And The Use Design Of Diantou Village In Taiyuan

Exhibition of cultural heritage is an important measure of heritageprotection and an indispensable content in the protection process. It is an organicpart of cultural heritage protection and sustainable use as well as the most directand effective approach of heritage value sharing to make the publiccomprehensively understand the social, scientific, cultural, historical andeducational values of cultural heritage and to enhance cultural heritageprotection awareness by deeply excavating and truly and completely interpretingthe historical and humanistic connotation of heritage.With thick historical and cultural sedimentation and rich humanistic spirit,Diantou Village was praised as the first famous historical and cultural village ofChina in Taiyuan City in2010, and entered the list of Chinese traditionalvillages in2012. It has important sightseeing and research values in history,military affairs, society and arts. Its building groups of arched stone cavedwellings carrying both military characteristics and business features are rarethroughout the country. During exhibition and use of Diantou Village, it can besystematically and comprehensively presented before visitors. Through publicparticipation and exchange, the historical context and humanistic spirit ofDiantou Village can be delivered and inherited. It has positive significance for reflecting and constructing regional culture characteristics.By setting exhibition and use of Diantou Village as the research object,based on previous studies, this paper consulted a large number of relevantliteratures at home and abroad, and carried out field survey. By starting from thecurrent situations about exhibition and use of Diantou Village, it summarizes thescientific methods of exhibiting and using Diantou Village. Meanwhile, fourexhibition and use themes covering military affairs, business, folk house andfolk custom are determined. In this way, the characteristic historical and culturalheritage of Diantou Village is protected and continued more effectively.Moreover, guidance and references are provided for exhibition and useconstruction of Diantou Village in the future.This paper is composed of five chapters:Chapter1is introduction. It mainly illustrates the research background,purpose and significance of this topic. By determining the research scope andresearch object, and teasing the current situations about domestic and overseasresearches, it summarizes the research thought, method and framework of thetopic.Chapter2analyzes the current situations about Diantou Village and itsexhibition and use. Besides, it organizes the overall characteristics of DiantouVillage, the exhibition contents and themes, and the current problems of DiantouVillage in exhibition and use. Thus a necessary foundation is laid for thefollow-up study on exhibition and use methods of Diantou Village. Chapter3discusses the design methods of exhibition and use of DiantouVillage. Firstly, the meanings of exhibition and use are clarified by analyzing theconcepts, and the relation between exhibition and use and protection is explored.Secondly, heritage exhibition of domestic and overseas cases is analyzed, andcorresponding exhibition principles are proposed by directing at the heritage ofDiantou Village. Finally, under guidance of the principles, the exhibition and usemethods of Diantou Village are put forward. Various theory and methodresearches designed for exhibition and use of Diantou Village in this chapterhave laid a solid foundation for the practical work of exhibition and use ofDiantou Village in the future.Chapter4introduces exhibition and use of traditional building functions inDiantou Village at early development stage. It teases the development course ofmilitary culture and business culture in Diantou Village. Moreover, specificdesign strategies are systematically and comprehensively proposed forexhibition and use of military and business themes in Diantou Village.Chapter5explores exhibition and use of traditional building functions inDiantou Village at late development stage. Development and formation of folkhouses in Diantou Village are summarized, and concrete design strategies ofexhibition and use are proposed. Meanwhile, feasible strategies are put forwardfrom two aspects which are exhibition of folk culture in Diantou Village andexhibition and use management.In the conclusion, the research level and conclusions are summarized. Besides, the prospect is proposed.
