With the rapid development of modern society, science and technology, theautomotive industry has been rapid development too, vehicle’s concept are developingfrom ride instrument instead of walk to living space, so the requirements ofautomotive NVH performance are also increasing, but as an important part of thestudy of NVH of automobile,sound quality also becomes one of the main focusstudied and cared by people about the car. Paying attention to the sound quality ofautomobile and further research would mean the traditional automotive acousticsdesigned to simply reduce the sound pressure level has been unable to meet people forautomotive acoustic comfort requirements, traditional A-weighted sound level todescribe the presence of noise in the presence of one-sidedness. Based on theobjectivity of acoustic, the sound quality of automobile involves the person’ssubjective factors of psychology, so it can comprehensively reflect people’ssatisfaction on the auto acoustics. However, the sound quality for the currentinternational research and application in the field of design and manufacturing is notmature enough, and its results can not be completely applied in our country because ofthe differences of nation habit. In order to improve the research level of sound qualityof automobile in our country, it needs more and more professional personage studyingthe sound quality ofautomobile to make the contribution on improving the soundquality of automobile which satisfies the comfort requirements of people in ourcountry.Since1980s, the car door slamming and noise problems has caused more andmore attention. This is because the car door closing sound quality is good or bad hasbecome one of the most important aspects of the car’s overall sound quality. Theclosing sound of automobile could transfer a series of complex information tocustomer such as safety, comfort, luxury, reliable and faith and so on. Affect thepeople’s subjective impression of the car’s quality, and even affect the tendency ofpeople to buy cars. Indeed, the car door slamming quality of products is closelyrelated to the design method and the manufacturing processes, is an importantmanifestation of automotive product quality and performance. Therefore, the researchon the sound quality of Automotive Door Closing has important theoretical andpractical value.This paper is mainly based on psychoacoustics and statistics, through the comparative analysis of the car door slamming subjective and objective evaluation,and establishment a car sound quality evaluation model eventually.Firstly, describes some of the basic concepts of the sound quality. Highlights thefour psychoacoustic evaluation parameters which used more in the sound quality:Loudness、Roughness、Sharpness and Fluctuation. For the study car of this article,make subjective evaluation and objective evaluation on Its door slamming soundquality respectively. Select10different brands of cars in the subjective evaluation andpickup doors’ closing sound. Organize reviewers make subjective evaluation.In theobjective evaluation, make spectrum analysis on the collected data by using Fouriertransform in matlab, and obtained spectrum chart based on the analysis results.Then make coupling analysis on the subjective evaluation and objectiveevaluation. Establish sound quality evaluation model, and then organization the juryto verify and analysis the results of the evaluation. Develop a unified standard fromsound signal collected to the signal processing and then to the final sound qualityevaluation according to the optimized sound quality evaluation model. In the end itwill get a norms of the describes on the characteristics of the sound qualitydetermined by the expert review. According to the automotive sound qualityevaluation model, Making the theory into practice, guiding the optimization of theacoustic properties of the product in the production process.
