As people demand for product appearance diversification and individuation degreeenhances unceasingly, the product color design become the key factors to decide theproduct market. Product color design contains the inner quality of products and toexpress emotion, become the product of a kind of spirit carrier, but also reflects the socialmainstream trend and the mass aesthetic trend.In this paper, the product color design through analyzing the performance andapplication of the butterfly effect, the introduction of the butterfly effect theory in this paper,the product color design in the "color" as "initial conditions" brought about by thepsychological, emotional, cultural, social, etc. First of all, the color design of product inthe butterfly effect mechanism of the formation and propagation were analyzed, and putforward the ductility of product color; The butterfly effect in the second, the color design ofproduct performance and application were analyzed, and the reflection of colourdifference is negative impact; Finally, the application of the theory of the butterfly effectand color design of product innovation to explore, to find the road to comply with thespecimen of product color design, carry on the omni-directional observation andunderstanding of product color design.Based on perceptual phenomenon and rational empirical way of combining theproduct color design research to provide new ideas for the follow-up related research,make more subject knowledge can be reference in design study, gives out the design to,more in-depth thinking, provide a reference for the design of the further research.
