Facing dynamically changeful and global market competition, the traditional design pattern is not fit for the product design. It is repeat the process from design to trial-manufacture and test based on the effect, structure and technology of the products. If the test result is not satisfied, the process must be the repeated. This pattern need lots of time and high cost.Based on the mass customization and virtual design technology, a new pattern for the butterfly valves design is put forward. In initial phase of concept design, product platform and product family theory is used to build the product platform and product family. In the detail design phase, virtual design technique is applied to realize the virtual prototyping design and virtual assembly design of product, building the prototype. In order to evaluate and optimize the prototype, ANSYS software is applied to analysis the product. Virtual design can found figure model, analysis and evaluate the function of the product in the figure state before producing. It can prominently reduce the cost and enhance the market competition. This text mainly study the theory and practice as follows.The main research of this thesis is the product platform and family design theory based on Mass Customization, classifies the product platform design method into two kinds: Bottom-up approach and Top-bottom approach;puts forward a new bottom-up product platform design method;and applies it to real products.Analyzing the current developing trend of the virtual design, the generating process of information model of virtual design prototyping and the meanings and key technique of virtual assembly design are explored, the characteristic definition of the conceptual design model based on the virtual prototyping and its modeling method are discussed emphatically.CAE is one of important part of virtual design .A general introduction of the finite element was given. In addition, the main characters of ANSYS and its primarily functions of analysis were introduced. Taking the advantage of CAE powerful functions of ANSYS software, a finite element analysis of butterfly valve is realized, and the dimension and structure of valve body is optimized. The model of virtual design prototyping can be used in finite element analysis, which simplifies the whole process, improves efficiency and shortens the product design period. |
