Spot information transmission between the wayside infrastructure and the train plays a key role in the train control system, but the problems, such as high cost, poor compatibility, unified standards, obsolete technology, remain exist in the most present urban railway lines, which affects the efficiency of urban railway transportation. Based on the electromagnetic coupling theory, this paper proposes and realizes a multi-frequency spot information transmission system between wayside and onboard, which adopts digital signal processing technology. The main research are listed as follows:(1) According to the working principle of ATP system, the requirements of train-way information transmissions are introduced, three proposed schemes are compared and the optimization scheme is obtained. The overall design of the system is realized from three aspects, including train control scheme, fault-safety measures and technical standards. Finally the system is verified by the Multisim software, the simulation results show that the scheme is feasible.(2) The hardware of the system is designed and realized based on coupling theory, the design method of onboard equipment and ground equipment are introduced in details. In design process of onboard equipment, the theory of the primary circuit is analyzed and its feasibility is proved by the test result; in the design of mutual inductor, transmission efficiency is analyzed and the specific producting methods of coil and ground equipment are introduced; the anti-interference design of the system is presented, which improves the transmission performance of the system; the signal receiving ability and effective distance are tested.(3) In the software design, the phase of multi frequency exciting signal is optimized, the mixed waveform peak is within5V. The spectrum of onboard receiving signal is analyzed and adjusted by the energy centrobaric method, it is simulated by the commercial software Labwindows/CVI. The precision and accuracy of the receiving signal is improved.(4) In the ATP simulation environments, the multi frequency spot train-way information transmission system is tested on the experiment platform. The ideal experiment result is obtained.
